Nagel-Group ranks 10th among the “Top Digital Companies 2023/2024”

Versmold, 20.11.2023. Nagel-Group is one of the “Top Digital Companies 2023/2024”. The market research institute Statista has carried out a comprehensive analysis on behalf of the SZ Institute of the Süddeutsche Zeitung to investigate which companies play a leading role in digitalisation in Germany.

3000 German companies from 26 sectors were analyzed. Nagel-Group took tenth place and was the only logistics company to make it into the top 20. Süddeutsche Zeitung published the results at the end of October.

Processes are automated in the warehouse, shipments are notified using the digital delivery bill and online meetings bring employees even closer together digitally – whether they are working on the move or in the office. Almost every workplace at Nagel-Group is affected by advancing digitalisation.

“We are investing heavily in modern equipment and the latest technology to make our processes more efficient for our customers. At the same time, they support our employees in their daily work,” says Michael Lütjann, CIO of Nagel-Group.  “To be among the top ten in the list of Top Digital Companies 2023/2024 is a nice confirmation of the path of transformation we have taken and an incentive to continue on this path with determination.”

The results were determined on the basis of an independent survey of 33,000 employees, in which employees were asked about the status of digitalization in their company. The survey was supplemented by an objective analysis of previously specific indicators such as the status of IT security, company apps or digital communication channels. These parameters were used to create a ranking in which the companies could achieve a maximum of 100 points. With 88.8 points, the Nagel-Group made it into the top ten in the overall ranking, alongside large corporations such as Daimler (7th place), Vodafone (8th place) and Bosch (9th place). The top places were taken by Bridging IT, an IT and telecommunications service provider, the chemicals group Lanxess and the IT service provider Adesso. In the logistics sector, the Nagel-Group took first place, followed by Dachser (overall rank: 82), BVG (overall rank: 84) and Fiege (overall rank: 90).
