Nagel-Group consolidates locations in Poland and opens new central logistics hub in Poznań
The Nagel-Group is continuing to expand its activities in Poland, with a clear focus on consolidation, efficiency, and sustainable growth. A new, purpose-built logistics facility is being developed in the Greater Poznań area and is expected to begin operations in the first half of 2027. Nagel-Group opens new logistics hub in Poland

Nagel-Group launches its own frozen food operations in Austria
The Nagel-Group is continuing to expand its European frozen food network and will launch its own frozen logistics operations in Austria effective February 1, 2026. At its four sites in Sankt Florian, Traiskirchen, Zettling, and Radfeld, the food logistics specialist will in future manage frozen transport operations entirely in-house and integrate them seamlessly into the Nagel-Group’s Europe-wide network.

Nagel-Group wins ECR Innovation Excellence Award from GS1 Germany
Nagel-Group, together with its subsidiary B+S GmbH Logistik und Dienstleistungen and the LEAFR corporate venture, was honoured to receive the renowned ECR Innovation Excellence Award from GS1 Germany. The company, working with project partners EatFresh GmbH, European EPC Competence Centre GmbH (EECC) and Bünting Großhandel und Service GmbH & Co. KG, has successfully implemented a pilot project for a fully digitalised delivery process with RFID tracking and real-time data.

Nagel-Group opens a new logistics center in Gotha/Emleben
The Nagel-Group has taken over its new logistics center in Gotha/Emleben, Thuringia. With around 21,000 m² of state-of-the-art logistics space, the company is expanding its network in central Germany and strengthening its capabilities in temperature-controlled food logistics. Operations will start on October 1, 2025. The property was built by OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH and meets the highest sustainability standards. DGNB Gold certification and EU taxonomy-compliant construction are planned.

Logistics network in Poland expanded: New location opened in Zabrze
The Nagel-Group has officially opened its new logistics location in Zabrze, Poland, marking an important milestone in the expansion of its European infrastructure in the field of food logistics. The state-of-the-art complex covers more than 30,000 m² and offers optimal conditions for efficient, temperature-controlled goods flows. The centrepiece is a spacious cross-docking area covering around 8,700 m², complemented by 2,600 m² of modern office space and a mezzanine floor for value-added services.

Information security: Recertification according to ISO 27001
The Nagel Group has successfully recertified its information security management system (ISMS) in accordance with ISO 27001. Following initial certification in 2022, the latest audit by DEKRA once again confirms that the company meets the highest standards in the field of cyber security. ISO 27001 is the internationally recognised standard for information security management systems.

Nagel-Group digitises pallet management at all 130 locations
On August 1, 2025, the Nagel-Group reached another milestone in its digitalization strategy: the complete conversion of loading equipment management at all 130 locations to the software solution from the start-up Logistikbude. Following a successful test phase at four pilot locations in June and July 2025, the solution was rolled out synchronously across all remaining branches in Europe, including intensive training and support for key users.
