New logistics halls: Topping-out ceremony at the Nagel-Group in Vejle, Denmark

Vejle/Denmark, 17.11.2022. The Nagel-Group is expanding its logistics site in Vejle. The topping-out ceremony for the new logistics hall in Denmark took place on Wednesday. The facility will offer over 19,000 pallet spaces on 16,500 square metres of logistics space in the frozen and fresh food sectors. The new building will have a cross dock with 46 gates as well as office space.

Construction work proceeding according to plan

Construction work on the 86,000 square metre plot in Denmark began in October 2021. One year later, the shell of the building has been completed. The opening in Vejle is planned for early 2023.

Nagel-Group invited contractors and representatives of the Vejle municipality to the topping-out ceremony on 16 November 2022. “In this construction project, the focus was particularly on maximum energy efficiency. Accordingly, the new building was constructed according to the highest standards for sustainable construction,” says Christian Berlin, Managing Director Nordics at Nagel-Group. “We are committed to the Climate Partnership North, together with Exxit 59 and other stakeholders – also with this real estate project. Our goal is to contribute to making the municipality of Vejle climate neutral by 2050,” says Christian Berlin.

The first customers will move in in the spring of 2023. “With the expansion of our logistics location, we can now offer our customers additional parking spaces and thus meet the increased goods traffic,” says Ole Brødsgaard, Co-Managing Director Nordics at the Nagel-Group. “This coming weekend, we are inviting employees and their families to join us in inaugurating the new building and giving them the opportunity to visit the logistics hall,” Ole Brødsgaard is pleased to say.
