Construction Project: Nagel-Group has started the construction of the new site in Ringsted

Ringsted. 19/08/2022. Nagel-Group has started the construction of the new site in Ringsted, Denmark. The company is building a new cross-docking warehouse for the temperature ranges frozen and chilled on a 26,000-square-metre site. The Nagel-Group is investing almost 7 million euros in the development of the new site.

f.l.t.r.: Brian Steen Rolighed (Property Sales, Ringsted Municipality), Søren Qvist Hansen (Consulting Engineer, OBH-Gruppen A/S), Ulrik Schibler (Head of Enterprise and Engineering, Ajcon), Henrik Hvidesten (Mayor of Ringsted), Ole Brødsgaard (Co-Managing Director Nordics, Nagel-Group) and Jens Olesen (Director Transport Denmark, Nagel-Group)

Scheduled to be completed by mid-2023, the new logistics centre will be 1,400 square metres and feature 18 gates. The site in the Ringsted Business Park offers Nagel-Group ample room for future expansion of its logistics space.

“By building a new logistics site, we can increase our distribution flexibility, especially for eastern Denmark,” says Ole Brødsgaard, Co-Managing Director Nordics. “The site is ideally located in terms of strengthening the integration of Copenhagen and other Nordic countries into the Nagel-Group network.” The new logistics centre in Ringsted will be located 65 kilometres west of the Danish capital Copenhagen.

The development of the new cross-docking warehouse takes into account state-of-the-art and energy-efficient construction requirements. “We consider the use of sustainable and highly insulating materials a relevant step towards making eco-friendly logistics a reality in our construction projects,” says André Pleines, Executive Director Real Estate at Nagel-Group.

“We are delighted to start construction at the Ringsted Business Park. Working with the municipality has been pleasant and efficient, both in terms of the purchase and the process to obtain the building permit,” commends Brødsgaard.
