Christmas donation 2025

Since 2013, we have been actively supporting projects run by SOS Children’s Villages in various countries. As part of our Christmas donation campaign, we invited all Nagel-Group customers and employees to vote on which project should receive the most support. This year, projects from Germany, Poland, Czechia and Hungary were up for selection. You could cast your vote until 15 December 2025 (11:59 p.m.).

The initiative with the most votes will receive 20,000 euros. The project in second place will receive 15,000 euros, the project in third place will receive 10,000 euros and the project in fourth place will receive 5,000 euros.

Germany

Education and support for families

People of all generations and cultures come together at the SOS Family Centre in Sossenheim. Families find opportunities for exchange and support here, as well as services such as a family café, playroom, educational and leisure activities. The educational lunch with homework supervision for primary school children, which offers structure and support, is particularly important. We reach around 500 adults and 250 children every year. With a donation, you can help us continue to offer educational lunches.

Hungary

Mobile family support for disadvantaged families

With its mobile family strengthening programme, SOS Children’s Villages Hungary supports families in the poorest villages and neighbourhoods. The aim is to keep children in their families and empower parents to manage their lives independently. If children are already in state care, the programme helps to reunite families. Through home visits, parent-child groups and targeted training, SOS Children’s Villages creates safe and loving living conditions for children – where they belong: with their families.

Poland

Healthy meals for children

Around 1,000 children receive daily support through the SOS family programmes in Poland. They receive help with their schooling, their self-confidence is boosted and their mental health is promoted. A key component is the daily warm, healthy meal – for many children, the only one they get all day.

Czech Republic

Newly designed children's rooms in the crisis centre

The SOS Crisis Centre Sluníčko in Karlovy Vary provides refuge for children who have had to be suddenly removed from their families due to serious danger. Many of them arrive traumatised and without any sense of security. The move to a new building offers the opportunity to create a warm and safe environment. To this end, six children’s rooms are to be refurbished – with furniture, carpets, lighting and loving details that convey a sense of security and help the children to regain their trust.
