Nagel Polska: Frozen food expertise now available in Poland

Nagel-Group in Poland is expanding its range of services and now also handles temperature-controlled logistics for frozen products. This enables customers in Poland to cover all relevant temperature ranges through a single logistics partner – from dry goods to fresh produce and frozen goods.

For customers, this primarily means a simpler process: different product categories can be transported via a single partner. This provides additional flexibility in planning and reduces complexity in the supply chain.

“By entering the frozen food logistics sector, we are expanding our capabilities in the Polish market and can offer our customers even more services through our existing network. The rising volumes since we began show that we are responding to our customers’ needs at just the right time with this move,” says Robert Katafiasz, Managing Director of Nagel Polska.

Frozen foods are gaining in importance in Poland

This expansion comes at a time when frozen foods are becoming increasingly important in the Polish market. At the same time, the product range is changing: alongside traditional frozen foods, fruit, vegetables and convenience products, for example, are becoming more prominent.

This also means there is a growing need for reliable and efficient logistics solutions for temperature-controlled products. With its new range of services, Nagel Polska is creating additional opportunities for manufacturers, retailers and other players in the food industry.

Nagel Polska has been part of the Nagel network since 2002

Nagel Polska has been part of the Nagel-Group’s European network since 2002 and currently operates six sites in Kopytów, Lublin, Zabrze, Wrocław, Komorniki and Gdańsk. With a fleet of more than 900 vehicles, Nagel Polska supplies food to retail chains, wholesalers and retailers on a daily basis.

The addition of frozen food services thus complements an already wide-ranging portfolio of services. At the same time, the network in Poland continues to expand: major construction projects are underway at several sites to create additional capacity.
