Nagel-Group opens new logistics centre in Rostock
Rostock, 6. October 2026. Nagel-Group is continuing to expand its logistics network in northern Germany and has moved into a new logistics facility at VGP Park Rostock. The company is expanding its warehousing capacity and strengthening the supply of goods to its customers in the region.
“With our new logistics facility in Rostock, we are expanding our capacity in northern Germany and laying the groundwork to support our customers even more flexibly and reliably. The direct link to the A19 motorway and the modern facilities provide the ideal conditions for this,” says Achim Sinn, Regional Manager for the North-East at the Nagel-Group.
The property is situated in the new VGP Park Rostock business park, with direct access to the A19 motorway. Storage, administrative and technical areas are available across just under 11,000 square metres. Around 500 square metres are allocated to office and technical areas.
The dry storage facility has around 16,500 pallet spaces in a wide-aisle racking system. A separate hall area offers additional opportunities for value-added services such as kitting, packaging or labelling. This enables the Nagel-Group to flexibly tailor its services to the requirements of its customers.
The property also utilises modern solutions for its energy supply. A photovoltaic system provides electricity to power the building. Heat pumps are used to heat the office spaces. Charging points for electric vehicles are also available.
The new site in Rostock has already commenced operations: Nagel-Group customer Rügen Fisch GmbH, headquartered in Sassnitz on the island of Rügen, is utilising the new storage capacity for its diverse range of fish products. “From Rostock, we can distribute our products efficiently to the various markets. That makes the location particularly attractive to us,” says Dr Sven Massen, Managing Director of Rügen Fisch GmbH.
With the new site in Rostock, the Nagel-Group is strengthening its network in northern Germany and further expanding its presence in one of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s most important economic centres.
