90 years of Nagel-Group – a milestone to remember

For nine decades, Nagel-Group has been ensuring the reliable supply of food across Europe – always with responsibility at heart. What began in 1935 with a single Büssing truck has grown into a Europe-wide network with over 130 locations in numerous countries. Our 90-year journey is not only a history of eventful times, but also of continuous innovation and development – always with the aim of delivering fresh food safely, punctually and efficiently to its destination.

One thing is certain: even after 90 years, our standards remain uncompromisingly high. For us, responsibility is not just a promise – it is a lived reality in every delivery, every process, and every innovation. From our first regional transports to today’s comprehensive supply chain solutions for international markets, we have continuously evolved while staying true to our values. Today, we invest in state-of-the-art logistics centres, digitalised processes, and a modern, sustainable vehicle fleet. With our start-up LEAFR, we are also setting a strong example for climate-friendly transport solutions. Our goal has never changed: to shape the future of food logistics – with innovation, responsibility, and true partnership.

To celebrate our 90th anniversary, we set out to celebrate with a special birthday roadshow. The journey began at our headquarters in Versmold – the very place where everything started in 1935. Marion Nagel, Chairwoman of the Administration Board and part of the company for 45 years, officially opened the event with a speech highlighting some of the most impressive milestones from our nine decades of history. After a successful start with the best weather, snacks and cool drinks, our three specially branded birthday trucks set off across Europe. They visited numerous locations and brought the celebration to the people who make our success possible: our teams, who ensure that fresh food arrives reliably and on time every day.

90 years of experience, passion and innovative spirit – we would like to thank all our employees, customers and partners who have travelled this path with us. The story continues – and we look forward to everything that lies ahead.
