Milk moves and connects – Molkerei Berchtesgadener Land visits the Nagel-Group

For over two decades, Milchwerke Berchtesgadener Land Chiemgau eG and the Nagel-Group have enjoyed a trusting and successful partnership. The cooperative has been working with the food logistics provider since 2003 – a collaboration characterized by mutual trust, a focus on solutions, and continuous development.

An important milestone in the collaboration was the complete takeover of all transport logistics by the Nagel-Group in April 2024. But it is not only in operational matters that both partners pull together – they also share a common approach at the strategic level: sustainability, responsible business practices, customer focus, efficiency, and innovative spirit are among the core values of both companies.

In order to further develop the partnership in a sustainable manner, the two companies rely on regular personal exchange and transparent processes. A delegation of around 35 cooperative members and managing director Bernhard Pointner recently visited the Schweitenkirchen site, where they were able to gain an exclusive look behind the scenes of their long-standing logistics partner.

The guests were welcomed by area manager Maik Pollmann. After refreshments, they were given a presentation providing exciting insights into current projects, key figures, and developments at the site. There was particular interest in future-oriented topics such as energy supply, the use of renewable energies, and the Nagel-Group’s sustainability efforts. Among other things, the explanations about the growing fleet of electric trucks, the newly built deep-freeze warehouse with integrated photovoltaic system, and further measures to reduce CO₂ emissions made a lasting impression.

Afterwards, the visitors explored the premises. The guests were given a vivid insight into the logistical processes—from delivery and handling to goods dispatch.

“The partnership with Molkerei Berchtesgadener Land is a valuable building block for us. Through continuous development, we have been able to optimize logistics over the years and raise it to a new level,” explained Pollmann.

There was also praise from the customer side: Managing Director Bernhard Pointner emphasized in his speech: “It turned out that we backed the right horse when we awarded the contract back then.”

A group photo in front of a Nagel trailer rounded off the successful visit. “The great interest, the numerous positive responses, and the cooperative partnership show how strong and future-oriented our collaboration is. We look forward to many more years of joint success,” said Pollmann, enthusiastically summarizing the day.
