Nagel-Group launches its own frozen food operations in Austria

Versmold, 24 February 2026. The Nagel-Group is continuing to expand its European frozen food network and will launch its own frozen food operations in Austria on 1 February 2026. At its four locations in Sankt Florian, Traiskirchen, Zettling and Radfeld, the food logistics provider will take over all frozen food transport operations itself in future and integrate them seamlessly into the Nagel-Group’s Europe-wide network.

The Austrian locations offer the ideal conditions for efficient, temperature-controlled logistics processes. The Nagel-Group’s systematic route network reliably supplies a wide variety of recipient groups, including central warehouses, outlets, large consumers, hotels, restaurants and production companies.

Consistent temperature control in all zones

As an expert in temperature-controlled logistics, the Nagel-Group covers all relevant temperature ranges. These include dry (> 0° C), ambient (+14° C to +21° C), fresh (+4° C to +7° C), ultra-fresh (0° C to +4° C) and frozen (-18° C and colder). The integration of the Austrian locations into the existing network ensures uniform quality standards, maximum transparency and a high level of process reliability along the entire supply chain.

Closer to the market, more control for customers

With the launch of its own frozen food operations in Austria, the Nagel-Group is strengthening its presence in the Alpine region and creating additional capacity for customers from industry, retail and catering. Complete control of frozen food transport enables faster response times, maximum temperature stability and direct local contacts.
