No logistics, no Oktoberfest \u2013 Nagel-Group at the Wiesn<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The smell of freshly grilled sausages is in the air, people are raising their glasses in the festival tent, and the band is playing its first notes. Millions of guests from all over the world celebrate Oktoberfest every year \u2013 but hardly anyone sees what goes on behind the scenes to make the world’s largest folk festival possible. For the Nagel-Group, the Wiesn has been a very special tour for many years: we bring the food to where it belongs \u2013 right to the heart of the Theresienwiese.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A glance at the figures from 2024 shows that the Wiesn is a major logistical feat: a total of 6.7 million visitors flocked to the festival grounds. 7 million liters of beer were served. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, around 13,000 employees are on duty every day, from service staff and security services to logistics.<\/p>\n

And right in the middle of it all: the Nagel-Group. After all, what would Oktoberfest be without hearty delicacies, freshly tapped beer, or sweet treats? To ensure that guests in the festival tents are well catered for, we use our food logistics services to ensure that goods arrive on time and fresh, year after year.<\/p>\n

Flame-grilled salmon, Nuremberg grilled sausages, or freshly roasted coffee: the culinary diversity of Oktoberfest is enormous. In tents such as the \u201cPaulaner Festzelt\u201d or the \u201cWeinzelt\u201d, our customers provide moments of enjoyment, and we ensure that everything arrives on time and fresh.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor us drivers, Oktoberfest logistics is always a highlight of the year. It’s a special feeling when you drive through the tight controls and know exactly that we have products in the cargo area without nothing would work in the tent,\u201d says Wolfgang V\u00f6gl, a professional driver at the Nagel-Group.<\/p>\n

Delivering to the festival tents is a logistical masterpiece: strict access controls, tight time slots, and the highest security requirements. Every day, at least one truck from our modern fleet drives to Munich with goods that have been carefully assembled in our warehouse in Schweitenkirchen.<\/p>\n

\u201cOktoberfest is a prime example of how important logistics is for everyday life. Without our transports, there would be no beer in the mugs and no delicacies on the plates. We take care of the entire organization for our customers \u2013 punctually, reliably, and with a passion for food,\u201d emphasizes Maik Pollmann, branch manager in Schweitenkirchen.<\/p>\n

For our employees, Oktoberfest is not just a job, but also a piece of Bavarian joy of life. Many of them enjoy tasting products at the Wiesn that they have previously moved around the warehouse. This creates a special connection between work and enjoyment, and makes our passion for food tangible.<\/p>\n

Oktoberfest is a celebration of traditions, enjoyment, and encounters. But it is only made possible by perfectly organized logistics.
