Nagel-Group is investing in the modernization of its fleet with 200 new Scania tractor units, which will be gradually put into operation by 2026. They are scheduled to replace existing vehicles that have reached the end of their useful economic life, thus ensuring the performance and efficiency of the fleet.<\/p>\n

Sustainability and technology in harmony<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In addition to modern diesel vehicles, Nagel-Group is already using fully electric vehicles – a proportion that is to be further increased in the coming months and years. “Until the complete switch to such alternative drives, we attach great importance to making the diesel fleet as modern and sustainable as possible,” explains Dirk L\u00fcckingsmeier, Head of Fleet at Nagel-Group. The new Scania vehicles make a decisive contribution to this: equipped with the latest vehicle and drive technology, they offer high efficiency in terms of fuel consumption, CO\u2082 emissions and operational safety.<\/p>\n

Nagel-Group is thus consistently pursuing the goal of providing sustainable and environmentally friendly transport solutions that also meet the increasing quality requirements of customers. The focus is also on the needs of professional drivers, as they should be optimally supported in their day-to-day work. Their satisfaction, a high level of driving comfort and a pronounced sense of safety play a major role – not only for their personal well-being, but also for safe and responsible vehicle operation. We took a close look at the new trucks together with some of our employees, particularly with regard to comfort, ergonomics, safety systems and driving behavior.<\/p>\n

Room comfort and ergonomics<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Key ergonomic and comfort-related aspects have been further developed in the new Scania vehicle models. Andreas Stoffels, professional driver and fleet manager at Nagel-Group, says: \u201cCompared to previous models, the cab (CR20H Scania Highline) offers noticeably more space, more ergonomic seats and outstanding suspension – this makes long journeys in particular much more pleasant.\u201d<\/p>\n

The equipment is complemented by spacious beds, an integrated refrigerator, numerous practical storage compartments and a powerful stationary air conditioning system – all functions that make everyday life much more comfortable. Improved sound insulation, modern LED interior lighting and a clearly laid out digital cockpit also ensure a pleasant and functional driving environment – ideal for long-distance travel.<\/p>\n

Safe on the road thanks to modern assistance systems<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The new Scania vehicles are equipped with a comprehensive package of state-of-the-art assistance systems that effectively relieve the driver, increase driving comfort and significantly improve safety. Intelligent technologies such as a precise lane departure warning system, adaptive cruise control and other automated safety functions actively support navigation in road traffic and make an effective contribution to accident prevention.<\/p>\n

The ergonomically designed layout of the controls and the user-friendly interface on the steering wheel and display also ensure intuitive vehicle control and increase the feeling of safety behind the wheel. \u201cDriving is much more relaxed – you simply notice that you are optimally supported,\u201d reports Andreas Hockun, professional driver at Nagel-Group. Both the subjective feeling of safety and objective road safety benefit noticeably from the new technology.<\/p>\n

Driving comfort, motorization and transmission<\/strong><\/h3>\n

With the new Scania tractor units, the Nagel-Group is relying on modern drive technology that combines driving comfort, efficiency and environmental compatibility.\u00a0 The powerful DC13 175 engine with 460 hp in accordance with the Euro 6 standard is used. The effective noise encapsulation reduces the noise level to 79\/81 dBA – an important advantage for inner-city or night-time deliveries, where particularly quiet vehicles are required.<\/p>\n

The automated transmission has been comprehensively optimized and enables smooth, precise gear changes and improved torque distribution. This not only ensures a more pleasant driving experience, but also reduces tire wear, fuel consumption, emissions and wear on the drive components. At the same time, the system actively supports the driver in demanding situations – such as in dense city traffic or when maneuvering in tight spaces. “You immediately notice that the new vehicles are easier and more controlled to drive. It takes a lot of pressure off – especially in tight, busy delivery zones,” says Nico Kuttnahorski, professional driver and fleet manager at Nagel-Group, describing his experience.<\/p>\n
