Christmas donation 2024<\/h1>\n

We have been actively supporting SOS-Kinderdorf e. V. projects in various countries since 2013. As part of our Christmas donation campaign, we invited all Nagel-Group customers and employees to vote on which project should receive the most support. This year, projects from Denmark, Germany, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic were available for selection. You could cast your vote until December 15, 2024 (11:59 pm).<\/p>\n

Denmark<\/h3>

Help vulnerable families stay together!<\/h4>

Help some of the most vulnerable families in Laos towards self-reliance so they can take care of their children and prevent the family from falling apart. Together with Nagel-Group, we can empower families in need by offering livelihood support, access to education and family counselling – so the children do not lose parental care as a result of, for example, poverty.<\/p>\n

SOS Family Support Karlino<\/h4>

Within SOS Family Strengthening (FSP) we provide children and youth with daily warm meals, from Monday to Friday. Children who attend FSP come from families with low income, facing many challenges. For many of those children the meal in FSP, is the only warm meal during the day.<\/p>\n

Thanks to your support we will be able to ensure an adequate, balanced nutrition of children and youth from around Karlino, north of Poland. Everyone deserves a warm meal.<\/p>\n

Germany<\/h3>

Counselling and support for children and families<\/h4>

Right in the centre of Gera, the Women’s Communication Centre offers advice and training for families in need. It organises health courses as well as leisure and social activities for all age groups and all walks of life. Lunch is served daily in the neighbouring \u2018Cafe Kr\u00fcmel\u2019. The clothing exchange is also located here. The varied and inexpensive range of services is mainly used by people in need and migrants. At the same time, we offer a healthy lunch every day, which is aimed at socially disadvantaged families and individuals.<\/p>\n

Czech Republic<\/h3>

A home for young mothers with small children<\/h4>

The aim of SOS Children’s Village Horne is to provide support in family crises and to prevent children from being placed in state care. Here, parents can stabilise their circumstances while their children are cared for in a safe and loving environment. Horne takes in 7 to 10 children and their families each month and covers all costs until they are able to stand on their own two feet again.<\/p>\n

Mobile SOS family support<\/h4>

When families get into difficulties, they need targeted support. The SOS Children’s Villages offer parents and children who find themselves in particularly stressful life situations mobile support, professional help and counselling. The aim is to help families stabilise in the long term and manage their lives independently. In 2023, SOS Children’s Villages Austria was able to support 1,456 children, young people and families with mobile family support and counselling!<\/p>\n
