HMRC approves Dover site for customs services.

Nagel-Group is prepared for Brexit and all possible scenarios: the HMRC has now officially approved the Dover site of Nagel Langdons as an External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF), thereby authorising it to carry out all customs services independently.

‘This allows us to offer our customers a solution for all Brexit-related services from a single source,’ explain Michael Schymik, International Director at Nagel Langdons, and Thomas Pütter, Head of Special Projects at Nagel-Group. After a several-month-long application and authorisation process, the branch in Dover has now been granted the appropriate permissions as an External Temporary Storage

Facility (ETSF).

This approval means that the employees on-site may directly undertake all import and export clearances to and from Great Britain. Furthermore, transit documents can be opened or deleted.

The Nagel-Group can, therefore, process all customs formalities with their resources. Our customers do not need to engage external service providers only for the sake of customs formalities. ‘In doing so, we ensure a lean and streamlined supply chain,’ explains Thomas Pütter. Thus, possible delays due to Brexit can be minimised.

An additional advantage is the uniform standard of quality that applies to all services within the Nagel-Group. For instance, numerous employees in Germany were given specialised training on Brexit. ‘As you can see, we are prepared for every eventuality,’ stresses Thomas Pütter.
